Agenda and Content

Preparation

Once registered, you will receive some recommended material for reading and viewing before the programme starts.

If you have chosen the Test + Train option you will need an account on the Lifecode Gx Practitioner Portal in order for us to process your order. You can register for an account here. This will allow you to bring your own reports along to the course.

We will also provide a pre-course self assessment option for you to measure your progress during and on completion of the programme.

Agenda - Principles and Practice

There will be 10 x 2 hour live sessions from 10am to midday (UK time) running each Friday from 12th January until 31st March 2023, incorporating 1 ‘rest’ week.

This agenda will be refined and updated with more details as they become available.

January

Friday 12th
Introductions and orientation. Metabolising Nutrients.

Friday 19th
Gut & beyond. Histamine.

Friday 26th
Methylation Part 1 – Folate fates and SAMe synthesis.

February

Friday 2nd
Methylation Part 2 – Transsulphuration, Neurotransmitters and  Nitric Oxide Cycle

Friday 9th
Case Studies 1: Translating principles into practice using Nutrient Core, Histamine and Methylation results.

Friday 16th
BREAK WEEK

Friday 23rd
Detoxification – Pesticides and oxidised lipids, paracetamol, alcohol, mould and PAH.

March

Friday 1st
Nervous System – Mood (serotonin) and sleep (melatonin); motivation (dopamine) and mindfulness (glutamate and GABA).

Friday 8th

Hormones – sex (oestrogens, progesterone and androgens), stress (cortisol and adrenaline), sugar (insulin) and sleep (melatonin).

Friday 15th
Case Studies 2: Translating principles into practice using Detoxification, Hormones and Nervous System results.

Friday 22nd
Nutrigenomics in Practice. What & how to test. Practitioner models and practitioner resources.
